Microsoldering and board-level repair

Board-level repair is for faults a new screen will not fix: dead charging circuits, lifted connector pads, and shorts after liquid. We diagnose with a meter before any iron touches the board.

Not every dead phone needs solder

A lot of “won’t charge” phones are a $70 port, not a chip. We start there. Soldering is the step after the simple part is ruled out, or when the pad came up with the old connector.

Where the work happens

Light connector work can happen at your table. Fine board work — small pads, shorted rails — goes to a stable bench. If we need to take the device, you get a written note of what left with us and when it comes back.

Warranty on heat

Board work is warrantied for 30 days. A phone that was already liquid-damaged can fail a neighboring component later. We would rather tell you that than promise a year on a stressed board.

Questions

Can you save a water-damaged phone?

Sometimes. Corrosion is a maybe, not a yes. We inspect under magnification, check for shorts, and tell you the odds before you pay for a repair that will not hold.

Do you follow a soldering standard?

Workmanship is aimed at the same joint quality IPC J-STD-001 describes for electronics assembly: wet joints, no bridges, no lifted pads left behind. Formal certification can be listed here once a course is finished.
