On-site repair versus a walk-in shop in Lafayette
Choose on-site repair when you cannot leave the house, you want to watch the repair, or you have more than one device. Choose a walk-in shop when you are already next door and the job is a stock screen they can do while you shop.

What you give up at a counter
You give up the phone. Many counters also give up the original screen even when only the glass is cracked, and you will not see which screws went where. That is fine for a simple swap. It is a poor fit for a phone you do not want out of sight.
What on-site costs extra
Drive time. That shows up as a trip fee, waived on booked repairs. Parts quality is a separate choice. A mobile tech can use bad parts just like a kiosk can. Ask what assembly is going in. We tell you.
A practical rule
One common screen, and you are already at Ambassador Caffery: the shop is reasonable. A dead Xbox, a water-damaged phone, or two devices and a kid who needs the tablet for school tonight: have someone come to the house.
